All accredited training centres and trainers are subject to
strict monitoring procedures and standards laid down by the
governing bodies. This includes the number of candidates on
a course, the time scales for different levels of operator
competency, and a dedicated structure of training which ensures
every training course is carried out to the same high standards.
If the training you receive does not adhere to these standards
or time constraints, the Certificate of Competency (Licence)
awarded will be invalid.
Categories- All students depending on their previous
experience fall into one of the following categories: Novice :
Someone who has never driven the or ever used the equipment
to be trained on.
Maximum number of students on course is 3. Training can last
2 to 5 days depending on the number of students and course
content.
Existing but untrained.
Operators who use the equipment, but have never undergone
formal training.
Maximum number of students on course is 3. Training can last
2 to 5 days depending on the number of students and course
content.
Refresher Training
Operators who hold a Certificate of competency and need to
be re-tested, (normally after three years since last test.)
Maximum number of students on course is 3. Training can last
½ to 1 day depending on the number of students.
