objectives
The course
objectives for all machines follow a similar format. To
teach candidates the relevant job safety, knowledge, and
practical skills necessary for the safe and efficient operation
of the equipment in the workplace. To heighten operators
awareness of the need to operate machinery safely, correctly
and skilfully at all times.
Classroom based theory.
The responsibilities of Employees and Employers explained
under the following legislation; HASAW act 1974, LOLER 1998,
and PUWER. This is achieved by the use of PowerPoint presentations
and the training films.
Practical Training
Supervised practical exercises on the equipment being trained,
and detailed explanation of every aspect of the equipment's
features, this will cover all aspects of situations that
the operator would normally encounter in the workplace.
Assessments
On the successful completion of a theory assessment, consisting
of both open and multi choice questions followed by a practical
skills test. The successful candidates will receive a Certificate
of Training in Basic Practical Skill and Ability
